This vegan stew definitely provides a meal with substance. In addition to the Beef Style Bits, we’ve added TEN other succulent vegetables to create an appetite satisfier. How did we keep the fat down to 1/2 a gram? That’s our secret–but the delicious taste of this gourmet blend certainly isn’t! This vegan stew is available in multiple sizes, including a 5 oz. vegan stew pack. (Gluten Free, OU Kosher)
STOVE-TOP DIRECTIONS
Pour entire contents into saucepan. Add 2 cups water and stir well to blend seasonings. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Cover, remove from heat, and let stand an additional 5 minutes. Stir this vegan vegetable stew gently and serve.
BACKPACKING NOTE
Each blend can be soaked prior to cooking to reduce the need for fuel. This can be done at mealtime or early in the day to save time during meal preparation. Just open the zip pouch, pour about 1/2 cup water in the pouch, and reseal. When you reach your campsite, simply pour the contents of the pouch into your pot, add the remaining water, and heat to serve.
