Personal Size! Who hasn’t heard that chicken soup is good for the soul? Well, now it’s even better! We’ve made a gourmet vegetarian chicken soup alternative reminiscent of the good ol’ days. We start with a “chicken” plant based protein. Then we add dehydrated diced potatoes, green peas, carrots, sweet corn, green beans, mild onions, and seasonings to make this a special treat for any meal! (Gluten Free, OU Kosher)
STOVE-TOP DIRECTIONS
Pour entire garden veggie soup mix into saucepan. Add 2 cups water and stir well to blend seasonings. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Cover, remove from heat, and let stand an additional 5 minutes. Stir gently and serve.
BACKPACKING NOTE
Each blend can be soaked prior to cooking to reduce the need for fuel. This can be done at mealtime or early in the day to save time during meal preparation. Just open the zip pouch, pour about 1/2 cup water in the pouch, and reseal. When you reach your campsite, simply pour the contents of the pouch into your pot, add the remaining water, and heat to serve.
