This is my second purchase and second review of EMP Shield. My electrician installed the prior 5 EMP Shields I have purchased. The install was inexpensive, but I feel better having the electrician install rather than mess with electrical stuff.
My electrician was really impressed with the EMP Shield and told me that he did his own research on EMP Sheild. He told me that he will begin recommending EMP Shield to his other customers.
I just purchased 2 more EMP Shields today, this time for my business and daughter’s home. That will mean I have now purchased a total of 7 EMP Shields.
I’m looking at now buying two of the car EMP Shields, but that may wait until Christmas.

Extremely easy to install with a very clear label right on the device. One wire to the ground bar, one to the neutral bar, and the other two wires to breakers that are next to each other on the same side of the panel. Two green lights means you’re done!

I am overall very happy with the ordering process… the phone tech. was terrific to deal with. Also, I’m thrilled to have this technology protecting my home. There was one minor point of confusion relating to product numbers. I ordered two units, one for my home (SP-120-240-W) and one for my backup generator (SP-12-240-WG). However, I received two “W” units that were identical. Support said they are exactly the same, but if that’s so, it would be less confusing if the “WG” product number was eliminated. THANK YOU FOLKS!

This comment is for customer service and simplicity in the installation. I have not had an incident to have had the device protect me as of yet, and I hope never to have such.
Seriously, this was the BEST customer service I have EVER experienced!!! I am in awe of the genuine care and old fashioned way of taking care of business that I have missed. It is refreshing to know people and companies like this still exist, especially in the industry of something so essential and life-saving! I do not give reviews lightly and rarely provide them. However, I need to say Thank You So Much, Andrew, for being a breath of fresh air in this ever-changing world!
Further, I called late at night after I ordered online to see if I could add to my order and ask a question, and I got an answer by a human, Andrew. He was so amazing, adjusted my order, and shipped it out right away. I got the box within 24 hours of my actual order!
I have been able to install the devices purchased. The home models arrived, and I was able to connect the one device on the customer side of the main line breaker; my service company would need to be there to shut it off if on the service side, despite an electrician. I was very cautious about installing anything to the electrical panel, yet I was encouraged as the directions were so simple. I, NOT an electrician, with minimal electrical experience, installed the device closest to the main breaker off of two, twenty-amp breakers connections, and the ground, so easily. I had an electrician check my work afterward, to be sure, and it was perfect; amazing! Simple directions that are simple because it is simple to do; wow! It took me only minutes to install the two vehicle models on vehicles with top mount batteries; the instructions with pictures were so concise and precise.
I ordered again, at a later date, for my family. You need to know a few things before you order for others. Do the vehicles have a top or side mount battery? It matters, as some domestic automobiles have side mount batteries and have different posts or means of connecting to the battery from the vehicle. This situation is easy to fix by changing the connections with different washer type connectors to have it fit flush. The directions are the same, however, aside from the connector size, as post sizes and means of connections are different, and obviously that it is on the side instead of the top, the other way around.
The next important thing you need to know before you purchase for your loved ones is, for their home, do they have a flat electrical panel or a box? This distinction matters for the cord length, and to see the lights. The other thing they will need is enough room on the panel to insert it on 2, 20 amp breakers, which they should have already, and if for some reason the circuit board does not, they will need them before installation. I am not an electrically inclined person, so please excuse the down to earth language.
Another important thing to know for an RV model is the amps. You may need to call and have one custom made, which they will gladly and quickly do.
The last recommendation is for the solar/wind, or generator. There are a few things you need to contact the customer support for these applications because the device you order needs to be made specific to the amps your generator can handle. The solar/wind placement for the model is different, but also very easy to install. Regarding the generator that connects to your service panel, not from a solar panel, or wind, or battery, but one that connects to a pre-installed cord so you can use the generator to connect to your circuit-panel so that you can run the house or portions of such.
My loved ones hired an electrician to install the device on their home to be satisfied and feel more secure. They protected the domestic vehicles with vehicle models, even with side mount batteries themselves.
All in all, this was a very wise investment, and, I hear more and more daily about the reasons that I purchased the products in the first place: protection and peace of mind! I did my research and I chose the best protection! Thank you, EMPshield Team!

Help over phone get’s a ‘5’ for wanting to help and a ‘3’ for not calling me back.
4 wire connectivity is simple but the Instructions get a “2” at best.
IF you have an older outdated “pushmatic” (Push type) breakers, then you better have 2 free in the box because finding “pushmatic” breakers can be a problem leaving you with a nice unit just ‘waiting’ to be installed.
My point:
you’ll pretty much NEED a real electrician to do the Connecting due to the Joke called “Instructions”. I paid $80.
WOULD I recommend this to a friend still?

It didn’t take long to arrive after placing the order. Simple to install and now I am confident I will be prepared when an EMP of any sort happens. Be prepared is always a good motto.thank you.

got one for house panel and one for generator panel very easy install good protection for any voltage overloads man made – solar – or hydro problem glad to have them installed

It was great working with both Stan and Andrew. They helped me figure out what my needs were to protect my main house, a travel trailer as well as the associated tow vehicle that pulls it, and my mother’s home. My son lives in the trailer – and who knows when we might have to move it – but better to be ABLE to anyway by covering the vehicle as well. Andrew was able to explain to my satisfaction how the EMP devices work – enough to convince me to buy 6 in all. I also feel like I’m making a contribution towards “hardening the grid” – as the protection extends 250 feet in both line directions along the line. If we all do this, we help the USA in general brace for the future. Thanks much.
