Berkey PF-2 Fluoride Filter (Set of 2) – Fits White Berkey Purifiers Only – (SHIPS IN 1-2 WEEKS)

The PF-2 reduction elements are an essential component of the Berkey water filtration system designed to work alongside Black Berkey purification elements. These reduction elements efficiently adsorb unwanted elements found in drinking water such as fluoride, arsenic V, and pre-oxidized arsenic III, as well as other residual heavy metal ions.

Fluoride testing was conducted on an influent aqueous solution containing 20-30ppm of the ion, with a flow rate of no more than 3 gpm per cubic foot of media. The media resulted in typical effluent concentrations of less than 1ppm of the fluoride ion, equating to a 95% reduction. Under optimal conditions, concentrations of less than 50 ppb were easily achieved, equivalent to a 99.75% reduction.

The PF-2 reduction elements uniquely target the entire family of arsenic oxide anions, as well as arsenic cations, providing a comprehensive solution to remove arsenic from your drinking water.

For optimal performance, we recommend replacing each set of two PF-2 elements after 1,000 gallons of use under normal conditions.

The PF-2 reduction elements attach to the bottom of a Black Berkey purifier, serving as a post-filter. They are compatible with various Berkey systems, including the Big Berkey, Travel Berkey, Berkey Light, Royal Berkey, Imperial Berkey, and Crown Berkey. Please note that if you use ceramic filters, you will require the PF-4 reduction elements instead of the PF-2.
